PostKit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

Short version: PostKit processes your photos on your device using on-device AI. Your photos are never uploaded or stored on our servers. The only optional exception is Cloud AI enhancement, which you can disable at any time.

1. What PostKit Does

PostKit is an iOS app that scans your photo library, classifies your photos by content topic using AI, and helps you create social media posts. All core functionality runs entirely on your device.

2. Photo Library Access

PostKit requires access to your photo library to scan and classify your photos. We request full photo library access to browse and organize your content.

3. On-Device AI Classification

By default, PostKit uses on-device machine learning models (Core ML) to classify your photos. This processing happens entirely on your iPhone — no image data is sent to any server.

4. Cloud AI Enhancement (Optional)

PostKit offers an optional Cloud AI feature that sends photo data to Google Gemini for improved classification accuracy when on-device confidence is low.

Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Gemini: policies.google.com/privacy

5. AI Caption Generation

When you use the AI caption feature, PostKit sends text-only data (your content pillar names, selected tags, and optional notes) to Google Gemini to generate captions. No photo images are sent during caption generation.

6. Subscriptions

PostKit Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. PostKit does not collect, store, or have access to your payment information. Subscription management is handled by Apple — you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

7. Data We Do Not Collect

PostKit does not collect:

8. Local Data Storage

All app data (classified photo metadata, pillars, templates, generated posts) is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is included in your iCloud backup if you have iCloud backup enabled for PostKit.

9. Children's Privacy

PostKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
